Innocent

Our neighbor, Uncle Abu Adnan, was standing in the garden of his house, trimming the thorns of the plants. Suddenly, I heard the sound of a beautiful green parrot. I quickly took out my slingshot from my bag and, aiming at the parrot, fired the slingshot. The parrot flew away. It landed on the wall of Uncle Adnan's garden. I put another stone in the slingshot and, aiming at the parrot, threw it.

The parrot flew away. At that moment, I heard Uncle Adnan scream. He was moaning: “Ah… ah… ah…”

I ran away with my feet on my head. When I reached home, I quickly went into my room and closed the door. Of course, Uncle Abu Adnan has got the stone and he must have seen me.

Now he will complain to the police and the police will catch me and take me to the police station.

My family was unaware of this incident. I locked myself in my room and fell asleep in fear. I kept having very scary and disturbing dreams. I dreamed that the police had come to our house and arrested me. I woke up from my sleep with a fright. The next morning I went to school, terrified because of the incident of the previous day. I told my friend Hadi the whole story.

He advised me to tell my master everything.

When I told the whole incident to my master, he smiled at me and said: “Don’t worry son! I will solve your problem, God willing.”

After the leave, my master took me to my uncle Abu Adnan’s house. I was very scared. When I reached his house, my master knocked on the door.

Uncle Abu Adnan came out. He was not injured. He smiled and said: “Come in! Welcome.”

The master explained in detail what had happened to me.

Uncle Abu Adnan laughed and then said: “That’s all? Do you think a stone hit my head?”

I quickly said: “I heard you scream.

He said: “I was pruning the thorns of the plants with scissors. My finger was injured by the scissors. You are innocent in this matter.” Then he showed his injured finger.

Uncle Abu Adnan sat up straight in his place, then said: “Abdullah! You are a polite boy. You have come to apologize for your mistake, which you think was committed by you.

Despite this, you are guilty.”

I immediately said: “But the stone didn’t hit you, uncle! So how am I guilty?” Uncle Abu Adnan said gently: “My dear son! Beautiful birds are the beauty of gardens. They delight our ears with their melodious voices and brighten our mood with their charming colors. Why do you want to kill them with your sword?”

Then the master said: “Ibad! Just imagine how much damage could have been done if your stone from Ghaleel had hit Abu Adnan or anyone else?” I fell silent and admitted my mistake. I promised that I would never do such a thing in the future.
